Cville in the HOUSE!

bringing communities closer together....help us build for tomorrow, today....

News
We have become official!  Virginia Organizing Project (VOP) has approved us!  Being allowed to umbrella under their organization offers so many benefits as well as a quick start on our Mission.  THANK YOU TO VOP!and to all that have thus far participated in this birth.

VERY IMPORTANT: Because VOP is our parent and our supervisory account manager, lawyer, supporter, and advisor, the donations made to Cville in the House will go through them to ensure our non-profit status.  Without them, we are are left unprotected.

PLEASE do not be confused that all roads to donate to Cville in the House lead to VOP.  The donations must go through them.  You can make a donation in many different ways... contact us at the contact link above, filling out the form so that your donation does not get lost.  If you make a donation anonymously to VOP without noting that it is for Cville in the House, you will be still supporting an important organization in our community, but we may not ever see the funds, supplies, or articles that you meant for use by our organization.

You can also visit their website directly by clicking here: http://www.virginia-organizing.org/donation.php
Just be sure to "designate to group" Cville in the House in the appropriate field.

Many blessings! and thank you ....

-Spring of 2007 we sent a group of local volunteers down to the New Orleans area for a week to work with Habitat For Humanity

-Organized two instrument donation drives for Tipitinas of New Orleans for their “Instruments A’comin Project

-Fall of 2007-held a benefit concert in Cville to raise funds for a hurricane victim who desperately needed a new prosthetic leg

We strive to be of outstanding service to the inhabitants, art, history and culture of the Gulf Coast region as the needs are astronomical. We are creating an ongoing campaign of awareness in Charlottesville of these needs. We also strive to keep hope alive for the fellow citizens of our country. Cville in the House aims to be a continued servant of this cause.
